I have a great love of art!  Ever since I was a child, I have always been fascinated with portraits, as my early drawings of faces with big eyes and bright colors can attest. During my high school years, those early caricatures gave way to portraits which featured realistic faces and expressions. It was also around this time that I began to experiment with different paints such as acrylic and water color.  In college, I spent more time with oil on canvas, and my portraits became even more lifelike.

Mixed media opened doors to experimentation with foam, wire, wood, fiber optics, and moving gears powered by small computer chips.  Each new artistic horizon has lead to new opportunities and experiences that have stretched my imagination and creativity. As an actress in high school and later in community theatre, I was exposed to the art of set building and mural painting, and have recently had the opportunity to work with plywood, 2x4's and other large scale materials doing just that.

Each step has brought about new and fascinating opportunities, adding the new to the old.  I still love to paint portraits and landscapes, and building small crafts is still a joy.  According to Salvador Dali, "A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others." I hope to be that artist.
